In 2006 a small Information Technology Company decided to make a large investment in Cochrane, Ontario which was intended to provide a new, and much better alternative to the existing high speed internet options which were available at the time. It was a huge risk, and a huge challenge. We were using bleeding edge network technology, which at the time was only being deployed in 2 other Canadian Markets. At the time the technology, and our business model worked. But within a few years it became clear that the technology we deployed had unpredicted technical limitations. Luckily we were able to reconfigure our equipment, and business model to keep pace with the direction of the market. But the market and technology were changing quickly!It's now 2009, and it's finally clear in which direction this technology was heading. So like any dedicated entrepreneur would do, I said, "in for an inch"; "in for a mile". Over the next year I spend every dime I had on the hardware LLnet needed to migrate to the latest and greatest technology. For the next seven years LLnet used this technology to deliver highspeed internet to many very happy clients within the town of Cochrane.It's now early 2017. The technology has now been perfected. It's stable, it's reliable, it's scalable, and LLnet had perfected it's business model. We pushed the limits, we found the points of failure. We knew what can, and can't be done. LLnet had reached a technical level of expertise, and had complete confidence with the systems we were using.So we decide that it's time to risk it all again. We took every dollar, and every bit of credit we could find, then head to Iroquois Falls to open a new market.

That was seven years ago.

Since then Explornet and their millions of tax payer dollars arrived to compete with us.

Then Covid sent everyone home to work and educate online, which raised our expenses by 40%.

Then a billionaire from California; who has no idea that Iroquois Falls or Cochrane even exists; literally beamed down from outer space to compete with us.

LLnet was hurt. We faced many challenges, both financially, and emotionally. Our revenues were dropping, and our expenses were rising. Everyone was raising prices to compensate for post covid inflation. We needed to do the same, but we refused! We knew our clients were also seeing the cost of everything rise, and we absolutely were not going to make their financial situation worse.The owner of LLnet decided that if raising prices was the only way to survive, then LLnet was going to die. LLnet quickly needed more revenue to survive, and the solution was to provide more services. The new services kept us in business!WE MADE IT! WERE STILL HERE!As they say, if something is easy, everyone would be doing it!

It's now August of 2024. The last seven years could never have been the success it was without our MANY loyal clients, contractors, and our friends who were there when we needed them the most.
